My journey in photography started at the age of 10 with my first Kodak Instamatic camera, followed by an Argus C3 camera. From there I purchased my first 35mm SLR camera, a Pentax K1000. From that day on I was hooked on capturing images of life around me. While in high school, with help from family and friends, I built a fully functioning B&W darkroom. I continued to create images while experimenting on how best to express myself through photography.
Throughout my adult life I have been keenly aware of my desire to find a way to express my life’s experiences in some meaningful way. That desire has ultimately lead me back to where it all started for me - the photographic image.
In recent years I have committed much more of my time and effort to creating personal documentary based stories, told primarily through the use of photographic images. I feel my long term projects have social value to me and hopefully to a much larger audience.
Now that I have rediscovered my passion and have focused on bringing my stories together, I hope you will enjoy reviewing my ever-evolving projects as much as I enjoy putting them out into the world.
